When the only way 'out' is within.

Tree Wisdom
There are times when intense energies intersect with intense circumstances and awaken deeply held fears, ancestral dread, anxieties, and worries. The mind spins 'round and 'round trying to 'think its way out' of the challenge, and we feel more and more frenzied when 'the solution' is not forthcoming, or is not desirable.

Sometimes all the mind -- trained only in what it's been told by 'authorities' or what it's already experienced before, within those 'culturally acceptable' or 'safe' parameters -- can see is an obstacle or situation that seems intractable, immovable, or impossible. It's a hopeless tangle. So it seems. And so we might feel those fears and ancestral dreads intensify even further, seeing no way out.

This is when, rather than thinking our way out, we must go within and access a different source of wisdom and guidance...

Sophia Speaks: Wisdom from the Divine Mother

Posted on Feb 7th, 2009 by Jamie : Sophia's Trickster-Muse Jamie
Greetings. I received this, quite unexpectedly as I was writing something else, this morning, and was guided to share it here. So here it is; may it be a blessing.

My Dear Children, don't be concerned about the the instability being revealed in things you thought were solid and unshakeable. Though it can be painful, we know, to have your confidence shaken and to be thrown into the discomfort of not knowing, know that you're held. There is a greater good being served; a greater wealth being revealed.

You don't have to lose possessions or money to learn this truth, but for many, this is the only way to see that your value is so much greater than the small sum you've allowed, the monetary measure of your worth. You're so much more, but you've become so focused on just one of your creations, one form of Life's energy: money. This beautiful Planet is worth so much more than dollar signs can ever convey. By seeing only in dollar worth, you've made your world very small.

We know that it's easy to get lost in the spiral of fear; it feels dizzying to have so much shaken, so much seemingly threatened. But as your Course in Miracles says, nothing real can be threatened, nothing unreal exists, and therein lies the peace of God. We come home to these truths in times of crisis because we've strayed far from them.

But you don't have to lose what's dear to you, and you can never lose what's essential. You don't have to feel panicked or fearful, though we know these responses are ingrained and supported by many forces in your culture. When you feel uncertain, anxious, and fearful, go within, to your center. Call out to the Divine and your higher being, which knows it is one with the Whole, one with All. Come Home to yourself and your Source. I have always been here. It is the separation that causes your fear; the sense that you are somehow separated from that which can never be separate, only Whole.

In times of great crisis, when all that seemed permanent is dissolving and all that seemed 'of value' is gone in an instant, there is also the great call for you to return home to your knowing, to trusting, to remembering who and what you really are.

Because you've been away from it for so very long, and because some have preyed upon your fears for their own short-sighted purposes,  out of their own fear and sense of separation, it feels terrifying to trust, to surrender to the inherent Good, the flow of energy which never ceases and is never lacking, which is always creating, always unfolding, always right where you are. You sit in the midst of plenty, and are of that plenty.

As Jesus said, 'The Kingdom of Heaven is spread before your eyes and yet you do not see it." This only means that your focus has been on other things, on what's lacking, or what needs to be done. In the past, in the future, where fear lurks and fear-mongers find easy prey.

Call yourself back to your Self. Call back the parts of you, your energy, that you have allowed 'thieves to steal', that you've given over to things outside of yourself. Call it back and know. Breathe, in this moment, and know that all is well. Be still and know that I am God.

Find peace and abundance and self-worth and value within, in this moment; be that in the world, and you'll find the world being that back to you.

Yes, it feels like such a risk, doesn't it my Dearests? It's only because you've been away and taught not to trust the most trustworthy of all. Yet it's closer to you than your own breath. You are loved. You are well. You are creative. Your intent and focus of energy is powerful. You are supported by such a vast array that you can't possibly imagine. With Divine Love, all things are truly possible, even what you call miracles. Obstacles melt in an instant of Grace; the Way that seemed closed opens.

Let go of your grasp of what you've been taught is reality; it pales in comparison to the Real. Open your heart to the beauty that you are and it will guide you. Life will flow to you when you allow it; Life will carry you, guide you, support you. Open your heart, release your fear, and allow. Receive. Breathe it in and know. Remember you are One.

It is so. With great love.

Break on Through to the Other Side

Posted on Feb 12th, 2009 by Jamie : Sophia's Trickster-Muse Jamie
Greetings!

Do you remember The Doors song lyrics, 'Break on through to the other side'?

This concept fits perfectly with the opportunity and invitation brought to us with the 'new energies' -- a special delivery to you from the Universe.

In the face of challenges, we can choose Divine Love over old fears, reclaim the power and energy we've given away, and step into a greater capacity to create the lives and experiences we desire.

In some cases, it's a shift in thought and perception; in others, that shift ripples outward into more effective, graceful action. Either way, our experience changes.

Right now, many of us are challenged to choose something other than the fear, gloom and doom we read and hear about. There is a choice, and everything in the Universe is conspiring to help us to choose from our highest potential rather than from fear.

If you want to learn more about these energies, choices, opportunities, and practices, tune in to the upcoming tele-classes or schedule a personal consultation.

Learn more about the upcoming tele-classes on 'break-through' practices, inspired marketing, the Way of the Feminine, and other musings to help navigate the times with Grace and Joy.

The Fine Art of Surrender

Posted on Feb 23rd, 2009 by Jamie : Sophia's Trickster-Muse Jamie
Flow
Greetings! The 'fine art of surrender' seems strange to our Western minds, trained as we've been in 'efforting' -- planning, doing, rolling that boulder up the hill, and swimming against the currents.

And that can be pretty exhausting, and not a little frustrating, can't it? It can feel like you're traveling incognito -- pretending to be someone other than the unique and radiant being that you are.

What does it mean to surrender? What are we surrendering to? There are many answers, no doubt, from many traditions.

Really, the fine art of surrender is a skill and gift we cultivate because something within us knows that there is a more effortless way. It seems impossible, doesn't it, particularly in challenging times?

Yet challenging times are precisely when new ways of approaching and seeing things are most needed -- when the 'old ways' just don't seem to be working, personally or collectively.

The art of surrender calls us to release what we might think is 'the best way' of doing something so that we can open to a more truly inspired way. Surrender is when we let go of swimming against the current and learn to go with the flow of life. We surrender limited thinking and too-small visions; we surrender what isn't who we truly are.

This can seem pretty frightening, can't it? I mean, really, what will happen? Our 'fear-tracks' play over and over again in our minds, saying "You have to DO something!"

Not really. More and more, being is the new doing.

Surrender and being with what is, we stop fighting it and are able to see through it. We open to inspiration, grace, intuitive guidance, and new ideas.

But don't we have to 'do something', you might ask?

Of course, we take action, yet instead of taking action out of old models of thinking and doing, so often driven by fear and scarcity, we allow 'right doing' to follow the inspiration and intuitive guidance that arises. We let go a bit, and allow synchronicities to come into our lives, resolving things in ways we might never thought possible.

It is an art. As with art, we cultivate and practice to gain greater comfort and mastery with the craft. Yet it's also a simple practice.

To what do we surrender? That might depend on a particular tradition of a Higher Guidance, whether our own, Infinite Spirit, God, or other greater awareness.

I recorded an audio InspiraLogue (inspiring dialogue) on the topic of Surrender with a mentor of mine, Lynda Terry, a meditation teacher and author. Such things always help me back to center when I've been overly dispersed!

You'll also find an upcoming tele-seminar on Inspired Marketing -- how to combine intuition and higher guidance with traditional marketing strategy to help those who need your help to find you.

Here's to surrendering to a more inspired way, so that we may more effortlessly and gracefully find our way through the challenges we face -- and so that we might enliven a greater vision that lives within us!

Blessings on the Way,
Jamie
