Incidents and Stories

The forest and the trees
When we open ourselves to the opportunities each day, in each interaction, in each relationship, in each moment with Nature, with ourselves, with the Beloved in the stillness, we find ourselves pulled up, rung after rung, on the spiral of new awareness that gives us new eyes to see and new ears to hear the beautiful connection in and amongst All.
One unfolding, expanding, deepening insight, ripened into gnosis through experience, is how we can choose not to allow our reactions to incidents become a story, or THE story, that eclipses the wholeness of what is before us.
Whether it's a person, a circumstance, an experience -- or a series of them -- our Mind wants to connect them with other thoughts and impressions stored in our Mind-databank and make a story out of them. For example, one or even a series of incidences where someone is curt or angry becomes a story titled "This person is angry."
The same applies to any experience, interaction, relationship, and so on. When we allow a series of incidents to become a story, or the story, we close ourselves to the beauty, the Wholeness that is offering itself to us. We get lost in the acorns without opening ourselves to the Wisdom, healing, richness, and joy that can be found in the Forest energy.
It's wonderful practice to notice when Mind wants to take an incident or series and make a 'cover story' out of it. In such moments, we can notice the incident and open to heartful wisdom with it, allowing it to be one facet of a beautiful, multi-faceted gem. In doing so, we are able to love and appreciate the gem while also noticing the facet.
We stay open rather than constricting or closing, and so much more of the Beloved flows into and through us as a blessing.
Joyful Blessings,
Jamie

Oh, Jamie, thank you! Your insights always make my heart sing, give my feet just that much more reason to celebrate, to dance.
There is always peace and serenity vibrating from your teaching/sharing. I call teaching because there is something to learn. Even if it is not new, it is a reminder for everyone to be in touch with thy inner self and nature.
thank you for sharing
