Tele-Circle: The Emerging Feminine - Transmuting Fear & Anger

Posted on Aug 25th, 2009 by Jamie : Sophia's Trickster-Muse Jamie
If you're feeling the call to re-embrace your Inner Feminine, step into a greater authenticity, and embody and express it in the world -- with the energy and spirit of a long line of kindred-spirit wise-women -- join me in this tele-circle.

As we've heard, 'where two or more are gathered', amazing things can be energized, inspired, seeded, and born.

We'll explore the opportunities, energies, and some of the ritual, practices, and approaches that help us to facilitate the great shift to the Heart that's taking place.

In this Emerging Feminine tele-circle:

A message that keeps arising is how to work with the fear that's being generated everywhere -- more than one person has called it an 'epidemic of fear'.

A sister issue that many women are asking about is 'what do I do with this anger I'm feeling' -- the great suppressed emotion! What gets repressed goes depressed, so how do we transmute the fire of anger into fuel for conscious action?

We'll call in energy and practices to address these issues in our upcoming call.

Date: Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 7 p.m. Eastern (U.S.) and by audio MP3 after the 'live' circle

Fee: By donation (suggested donation $10-$20)

Blessings and Good Juju,

'Recessionary Creativity' & 'Consumption-Fasting'

Posted on Aug 19th, 2009 by Jamie : Sophia's Trickster-Muse Jamie
In the last week, several people have asked about a post I wrote a couple of years ago, highlighting a 'consumption-fasting' challenge a wise mentored assigned to me. It was quite the eye-opening adventure.

Now, even more than a few years ago, the topic seems ever more timely, when 'creative resourcefulness' and fear-reducing practices are pretty relevant.

At my neighborhood cafe this morning, in a chat with a friend whose small-business it is, the topic came up yet again, tucked into a larger conversation about the state of the economy, her observation that many people coming into the cafe were 'digging deep' (as in, in the couch cushions) for spare change and using change and dollar bills rather than the $20 bills more typical of a carefree economy. As with hair salons, local coffee cafes are a wellspring of on-the-spot insights about how 'national issues' are lived locally.

We got talking about some of the more esoteric insights about 'why money stops flowing', as well as personal practices of creativity, resourcefulness, mindset/heartset-awareness (aka choosing something other than fear, anxiety, and panic as your default setting), and other infinitely practical issues that help us choose and cultivate quality of life regardless of transient circumstances.

So given the interest in such things (and Ivy Sea Online is rich with resources related to these topics), here is the link for my previous 'consumption fast & conscious consuming' post .

And here's another article about a creatively resourceful idea that came to my attention yesterday, from Tom Atlee's email on 'heartening tidbits'. In Estonia, people have established a 'Bank of Happiness' -- a creative service exchange crossed with a type of local currency -- as one creative response to cultivating community, wellbeing, and expression-exchange when there is a recession in the 'traditional economy'. It's an idea worth duplicating here in the U.S. (and perhaps elsewhere, if people resonate).

Times of change and challenge can be opportunities for renewal, creativity, resourcefulness, visioning-anew, and reaching out to cultivate community and new ways of exchange and getting needs met while sharing one's own gifts and services. Not to mention taking back our authority that we've delegated to 'the System'. Sounds like a pretty good idea to me.

Blessings and Good Juju on the Way,
Jamie

Reclaiming Your Creativity, Authenticity, and Authority

Posted on Aug 18th, 2009 by Jamie : Sophia's Trickster-Muse Jamie
With seeming chaos, comes the opportunity for amazing creativity, authenticity, fulfillment, and leadership. If you're feeling fearful and uncertain, it's creative opportunity knocking, and inviting you to step into your own fullest expression.

As we look around now, we do see a lot changing, or wanting to transform. Though fear and feelings of insecurity may tempt us to cling to the familiar, there is little that can thwart the change whose time has come. And often, the change brings unexpected gifts and blessings.

I know from personal experience just how excruciating that creative passage can seem! And I know that the gifts of it abound if we tap into wellsprings of love, courage, and vision.

If we choose find ways to see through the fear and the 'monsters' that it creates, we can use the age-old gifts associated with the Feminine archetype which lives within each of us: the gifts of inquiry -- asking into the opportunities, imagination, vision, focused intention, and aligned action to dance with the forces of creation around us and bring new and wonderful things into being, within us, through us, and around us.

Called Into Authenticity

Posted on Aug 17th, 2009 by Jamie : Sophia's Trickster-Muse Jamie
Going with the inspiration this afternoon, and watching butterflies flit back and forth across the window, I posted two new entries at my Sophia's Children blog: one on being called back into remembrance of our authentic nature and being; the other an expansion of Cicada's message about transformation and emerging from our old shells.

If it interests, you'll find them here.

Blessings, and thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts!

Emergence: Leaving the Old Shell Behind

Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 by Jamie : Sophia's Trickster-Muse Jamie
The cicada, after her emergence.

Greetings, all.

I've just posted an upcoming tele-class on 'Moving From 'Obstacle' to 'Opportunity', to share some of the positive and empowering practices and approaches to help people shift out of the fear and 'stuckness' that seems epidemic these days.

If you or someone you know might benefit from joining us, you'll find more information on the tele-class here.

On another note altogether, my partner and I witnessed the most amazing 'totem' of transformation recently - a cicada moving out of its old shell and revealing a new, iridescent green shell and perfect, delicate wings that unfolded right before our eyes.

The photo above (taken by Phil) is the cicada's complete emergence, with her old shell next to her. It was amazing - we felt so lucky!

Blessings,
Jamie

True Vision, True Prosperity - Clearing the 'Derailers'

Posted on Aug 5th, 2009 by Jamie : Sophia's Trickster-Muse Jamie

Did you ever wonder why things seem to come up to derail the manifestation of your vision, or why you'd get close or even accomplish parts of it only to watch it 'wash away' in a series of events or waves?

Have you wondered why things like the Law of Attraction don't seem to work for you, even though you articulate your intentions and say your affirmations regularly?

Or have you experienced a sense of impending doom, dread, or loss even when things seem to be going well?

I did, and I saw (and see) it frequently with friends, colleagues, clients, and family members, too.

Pushed by pain, or pulled by vision?

Posted on Jul 21st, 2009 by Jamie : Sophia's Trickster-Muse Jamie
I've always loved a saying that an acquaintance shared with me years ago -- and he was passing it along from a mentor of his: Pain pushes until vision pulls.

With so much shapeshifting and change afoot , it seems a very good time for vision that pulls!

This was the inspiration for an article I posted this morning as part of my Ivy SeaZine. You'll find it here.

Wishing you a compelling, heartful vision that pulls you forward into Life in Abundance!

Blessings,
Jamie

Mundane or magical - which do you choose?

Posted on Jul 20th, 2009 by Jamie : Sophia's Trickster-Muse Jamie
Given that we're frolicking in some wild and creative eclipse and new moon energies (currently in the dark-moon phase before either comes about tomorrow night in the U.S.), it seems a fine question to consider whether we live (or wish to live) in a mundane or a magical world.

Jesa MacBeth's lovely article guides you. What's your choice?

Love and blessings (and lots of joyful magic!).
